Baylor Emerging Research Conference
The Baylor Emerging Research Conference (BERC) is virtually hosted by Baylor University's School of Education. This conference provides a platform for graduate students in education to share collaborative work among professionals, researchers, educators, and leaders, as well as among institutions, professional associations, and governing and regulatory bodies that support the professions.
Research presentations are organized into three different principal areas: Innovation, Leadership, and Learning.
BERC 2026
The 2026 virtual conference is on January 31, 2026 from 9:00am-2:00pm CST. Conference attendance is free to all Baylor students, faculty, and alumni and is not limited to the School of Education. Registration is required to attend and to receive the links for joining.
Proposal Submissions
Proposals are due by 10:00am CST on December 8, 2025.
Review the Call For Proposals regarding the criteria and expectations before submitting your session proposal. There are two types of proposal submissions including (a) research division session and (b) Ride the Elevator! video competition. Baylor students are encouraged to submit to both. Please note that students can submit ONE proposal as the lead presenter for the research division session but can be included in up to TWO research division session proposals (i.e., one as lead and one as secondary presenter or two as secondary presenters). Students can also submit ONE proposal for the Ride the Elevator! video competition.

"[BERC] absolutely changed my understanding and perspectives of my doctoral journey and the approaches to completing my PoP. I am so thankful to Baylor for organizing such a power conference early on in my journey. I feel so connected with my fellows and appreciate hearing their realistic journeys. It inspired me, empowered me, and reminded me of my life purpose. Thank you, Baylor!”
