Professional Summary

Rona McKinney is the Program Manager for the Professional Online Learning unit in Baylor Universty’s Moody School of Education. In her position, Ms. McKinney oversees the day-to-day activities, logistics, and communications for the program. Rona coordinates event planning and management to make each event an unforgettable experience for Professional Online Learning students.

Ms. McKinney manages the program’s immersions each year, when online students spend several days on campus meeting together and consulting with their professors. She also plans and oversees three graduation receptions per year, coordinating everything from catering to venue décor to create a special experience for students and their families as they celebrate the significant milestone of earning a doctoral degree.  

Ms. McKinney also coordinates work with various vendors for program supplies and branding and facilitates faculty travel.

A Baylor employee since 1989, Ms. McKinney has been in this position since 2021. Prior to that, she worked in the Moody School of Education’s (Moody SOE) Dean’s Office for 20 years and the Department of Health, Human Performance, and Recreation while it was part of the SOE; in the Baylor Admissions Office; and in Financial Aid.

In her free time, Ms. McKinney enjoys spending time with her grandson, Kelby.
