Professional Summary

Dr. Shelby Vaughn is a Lecturer in Baylor's Moody School of Education’s Professional Online Learning Unit and faculty advisor in the EdD in Learning and Organizational Change program. She teaches courses in quantitative and mixed methods research methods and mentors dissertation students. Dr. Vaughn has served as a Faculty Advisor and methodologist for Cohorts 10-12, 14, 16, and 18.

Dr. Vaughn's research focuses on social issues, particularly on understanding and addressing challenges faced by marginalized populations. Her recent work includes co-authoring journal articles and presenting at national presentations with EdD-LOC alumni examining experiential learning in clinical and academic settings, Latino student academic success, and resiliency in Indigenous populations. In her free time, Dr. Vaughn enjoys spending time with her husband, Dr. Stefan Vaughn, and their Doberman Pinscher.
