Professional Summary

Dr. Corina Kaul is a Senior Lecturer in the Learning and Organizational Change Ed.D. program within Baylor University’s Moody School of Education, Professional Online Learning Unit. She is a member of the graduate faculty and serves as the lead faculty for the online statistics course, EDP 5334. In 2026, she received the School of Education’s nomination for Baylor University’s Outstanding Faculty Award (non-tenure track), recognizing her excellence in teaching and student support.

Dr. Kaul earned her B.S. in Management, Marketing, and Psychology from the University of Oregon. Later, she completed both her M.A. and Ph.D. in Educational Psychology at Baylor University. Prior to entering higher education, she worked in insurance, human resources, and K-12 education.

Within the Learning and Organizational Change program, Dr. Kaul chairs dissertation committees and serves as a methodology advisor for Problem of Practice dissertations. She teaches courses in statistics, ethics for leadership, mixed methods research, psychology of learning, and Problem of Practice dissertation development. Dr. Kaul is passionate about teaching.

Dr. Kaul serves as the primary investigator on multiple grant-funded research projects examining doctoral student writing beliefs and practices. Her funded work explores writing self-efficacy, self-reflection, and self-assessment throughout the dissertation journey. Dr. Kaul actively publishes scholarly work, presents at national professional conferences, and mentors emerging researchers through all stages of the research process.

Outside of her academic work, she is involved in her church community, participates in book clubs, and values time with her family.

  • Doctoral Student Writing and Persistence
    Writing self-efficacy, writing perceptions, dissertation writing progress, and supports/barriers for online Ed.D. students.
  • Statistics Learning and Doctoral Education
    Statistics anxiety, data literacy, and doctoral student experiences in practitioner-oriented research training.
  • Additional Scholarly Interests
    Gifted education, numeracy development, the use of generative artificial intelligence in academic settings, and the integration of faith and learning.
