Professional Summary

Dr. Kim Bodenhamer serves as Senior Academic Writing Consultant in the Research and Writing Development Center (RWDC) within the EdD in Learning and Organizational Change program and also as an Associate Graduate Faculty at Baylor University.   As an undergraduate student she completed a study abroad program at Oxford University that ignited her passion for writing and set her on a lifelong journey of learning. She earned a Master of Theological Studies from Duke Divinity School and a PhD in Religion at Baylor University. Before joining the RWDC she served as the Director of the Honors Program and Associate Professor of Christian Studies at the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor.

She is a scholar of the Hebrew Bible specializing in the poetry of the Book of Psalms. She has presented and published on the scholarship of teaching and learning and is deeply interested in connecting students’ existing interests to course content. Dr. Bodenhamer has taught a wide variety of courses including Classical Hebrew, Research and Writing, and topical courses on the Hebrew Bible. She is a member of the National Association of Baptist Professors of Religion and the Society of Biblical Literature. 

When she is not reading, writing, or teaching, Kim is likely rewatching the Office, attempting to bake something from the Great British Bake Off, and spending time with her family and adorable pup Boba Fetch.
